Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen returned to Pakistan from the United Kingdom (UK) Friday morning, after a seven-month long stay there.
Taking to Twitter after arrival in Lahore, he said: “Let me state for the record that JDW is NOT part of the petition against the Punjab government notification to start sugarcare crushing season from Nov 10.”
He said all of his mills, including those in Sindh, will start cane crushing on November 10 and vowed to play his part in helping the government overcome the sugar shortage and price hike. Jahangir Khan Tareen arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport early morning via a foreign airlines’ flight. He returned home after seven months stay in Hampshire county, UK.
Talking to journalists at the airport, the PTI leader said that he went abroad for medical treatment. He maintained that it was not necessary to respond to every allegation hurled by the opposition.
Jahangir Tareen said that his business was fair and transparent, adding that he has never been involved in any wrongdoing.
He said that he is part of the PTI to weed out corruption and injustice from the country. “So how can I join corrupt forces or go against the basic ideology of the party”, he pointed out, adding that he has always struggle for development of his area and the unprivileged class and will continue this mission until his last breath.
FAZL SPENT RS470M: AFRIDI
Chairman Kashmir Committee Shahryar Afridi has said Kashmir Committee (KC) during the tenure of Maulana Fazlur Rehman as chairman spent Rs470 million in 10 years.
Talking to media men here Friday, he said that the KC issued 24 press releases during Maulana Fazlur Rehman term, which cost Rs17.80 million. “Now Kashmir committee is left penniless and despite this fact they are claiming moral high ground”, he regretted.
Referring to the opposition parties alliance PDM public meetins, he said that Pakistan narrative of PDM has died down and people have now grown fed up with this fake and deceptive narrative of the PDM’s leaders.
Citing to former speaker National Assembly (NA) Ayyaz Sadiq speech in the National Assembly, the Kashmir Committee chairman said the legs of those tremble who are incompetent and are dictated by others. “Such statements can only be made against enemies and these words from the mouth of a Pakistani politician is shameful”, he lamented.
Regarding inflation and sugar and flour crisis, the PTI stalwart said it is a test case for the government and we will emerge victorious in this test.
