RAWALPINDI – Sri Lanka Cricket directed its team to continue Pakistan tour as scheduled, while players choosing to return home will be replaced.
As per SLC’s official communication, Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing tour of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, trust, and friendship between the two nations.
Officials confirmed that series will continue as scheduled. “If any player or staff chooses to return home, replacements will be sent immediately to ensure the series continues without disruption,” the board said, highlighting its dedication to maintaining the continuity of the tour.
The decision comes amid heightened security concerns, yet Sri Lanka’s move has been widely appreciated in Pakistan, with officials expressing gratitude for the steadfast support. “Pakistan deeply values Sri Lanka’s unwavering support for cricket,” the statement added.
