The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda celebrated the country’s 32nd Liberation Day with a reception at Serena Hotel in Islamabad, attended by diplomats, senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community.
Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik attended the event as the chief guest.
Chairman and Chief Editor of Pakistan Observer Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik also graced the occasion besides the ambassadors, government representatives, business leaders and members of civil society. The ceremony reflected the growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Rwanda.

The event commemorated Rwanda’s journey of peace, resilience, national unity and socio-economic development over the past three decades.
Speakers highlighted the country’s progress and reaffirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Rwanda in areas of mutual interest.
A cake-cutting ceremony was one of the highlights of the evening. Barrister Aqeel Malik and Rwanda Ambassador Fatou Harerimana jointly led the ceremony in the presence of diplomats, senior officials and invited guests.
The symbolic celebration reflected the spirit of friendship, cooperation and shared commitment to enhancing diplomatic and people-to-people relations between the two countries.
The reception concluded with an opportunity for guests to interact and exchange views on expanding collaboration in trade, investment, education, culture and other sectors, underscoring the warm and cordial relations between Pakistan and Rwanda.
