Speakers call for data protection laws in post Covid-19 world

Questions over data privacy and protection are the hot subject of the day in the pandemic-hit world and the governments as well as organizations have to quickly adopt technologies to keep the world and its operations running.

These views were expressed by experts at a virtual seminar on “Finding the balance between Innovation and Consumer Protection.”

Among the participants included Sam Tayan, Head of MENAP (Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan) Uttara Sivaram, Global Head of Privacy & Security Public Policy at Uber, Marwa Fatafta, MENA Policy Manager at Access Now, and Bahaa Othman, Head of Information Security and Compliance at Fawry.
