Leaders of Shia organisations have issued a seven-day ultimatum to the government to arrest the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Peshawar Imambargah.

Shia leaders including those representing Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan have said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed have hinted that they are aware of terrorists and have all their information.

If the incumbent government does not take clear action against these terrorists, “we will announce the next course of action,” they said, adding that they stand by the armed forces of Pakistan against the enemies for the survival and security of the country.

A joint news conference was held in Karachi Nishtar Park under the Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan in which Shia leaders condemned the cowardly attack on Imambargah in Peshawar and demanded the government to take immediate action against the terrorist elements. Leaders of Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organisation and others were present on the occasion. Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan President Allama Syed Razi Jaffar Naqvi said that a cowardly terrorist attack took place during the Friday prayers in which more than 80 were martyred and more than 200 were critically injured.
