Sehri to Iftar: Ramadan 2026 fasting hours in Pakistan revealed

Expected Date For First Roza Of Ramadan 2025 In Pakistan

LAHORE – The holy month of Ramadan is set to commence across the world including Pakistan in February 2026. Muslims observes fasting from dawn to dust for 29-30 days.

Details have emerged regarding the expected duration of fasting hours around the world during Ramadan 2026, with timings varying by region due to seasonal and geographical differences.

Fasting Hours in Pakistan

In Pakistan, the daily fast is projected to last between 13 and 13 and half hours. At the beginning of the holy month in March, fasting hours are expected to be close to 13 hours, gradually increasing to around 13 and a half hours toward the end of Ramadan.

Fasting Hours in other Countries

Across many Muslim countries, fasting is likely to start at nearly 12 hours per day during the early days of the month and extend to approximately 13 hours by its conclusion.

The shorter fasting period is linked to the end of winter and the start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, when daylight hours slowly become longer.

The variation in fasting hours from one country to another is largely influenced by geography. Nations closer to the equator typically experience more consistent daylight throughout the year, while those farther north or south see greater seasonal changes.

In Middle Eastern and North African countries, most people are expected to begin Ramadan with shorter days and gradually longer fasts.

For example, Egypt may see fasting times starting at around 12 hours and 40 minutes, increasing to about 13 hours by the end of the month. Similar patterns are predicted in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, where fasting is expected to remain within the 12 to 13-hour range, with slight differences between cities.

The final start date of Ramadan 2026 will be officially confirmed following the moon sighting on 29 Shaban in Pakistan.
