Adulterators, hoarding and sale of edible items on arbitrary prices will not be tolerated at all whereas implementation on price list issued by the district administration will be ensured for providing maximum relief to the people and containing artificial dearness in the district while protection of consumers’ rights will be ensured according to policy of the government.

These views were expressed by the Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Toqeer Ilyas Cheema while addressing the meeting of District Price Control Committee Hafizabad. DC directed the traders and shop keepers to paste price list of daily used items at prominent places at their shops and district administration would be ensured availability of bread according to fixed weight and prices.

Meanwhile, the committee also revised prices of edibles being sold at Service Area on Islamabad-Lahore Motorway and DC directed the concerned officers to monitor shops and hotels at service area to ensure provision of edible items to passengers on reasonable prices.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Hafizabad Rab Nawaz Chadhar visited Basic Health Unit Kassoki last night and checked attendance and performance of staff. AC said that the Punjab government is committed to ensure provision of healthcare facilities to people at their doorsteps. He expressed his satisfaction over attendance and services of the staff.
