Chairperson Chief Minister’s Special Initiatives and Ex-Federal Minister Saira Afzal Tarar has said that ‘Suthra’ Punjab and ‘Negheban’ Ramazan Package are people friendly, historic and people friendly programmes of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Ramazan package is being given to the poor and less resources people at their doorsteps on merit transparently in the province including district Hafizabad which is an ideal and great programme of in its nature as well as reflecting love and affection of the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif with the people.
She expressed these views while addressing a meeting held at District Complex Hafizabad, on Wednesday to review pace of work and progress of ‘Suthra’ Punjab and Negheban Programmes. Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad, MPAs Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, Aoun Intisar Bhatti, prominent social worker Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad and officers of different departments attended the meeting.
She said that ‘Suthra’ Punjab Campaign was launched in urban and rural areas simultaneously for cleaning our streets, bazars and other public places. All politicians and government officers/official have to work as a team with the passion of serving the nation and team work could be proved result-oriented, she said.
She said that special teams were constituted consisting of political and social workers to make the ‘Suthra’ Punjab Campaign in Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattian, Jalalpur Bhattian, Sukheki Mandi and other areas of the district. DC Sundas Irshad Informed the meeting that under ‘Suthra’ Punjab Campaign, not only cleaning the urban and rural areas but encroachment and wall-chocking were also be removed whereas streets lights have been restored.
She also told that chocked sewerage lines were also cleaned while heaps of garbage from different places were also lifted. She apprised that ration bags ‘Negheban’ Ramazan Package of the Punjab government had been given to 22 thousand families at their doorsteps in transparent manners under in the district so far. She disclosed that she herself was monitoring distribution of Ration bags and other all initiatives of the Chief Minister of the Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Earlier, DC visited Ramazan Bazar and fair price shops setup at Model Bazar.
