PESHAWAR – Thousands of government employees are set to get boost as government approved major revision in House Requisition Allowance, and the revised rates will benefit eligible secretariat employees from BPS-03 to BPS-22, with the highest monthly allowance reaching Rs52,000.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a substantial increase in the House Requisition Allowance for staff working in the Civil Secretariat, Chief Minister Secretariat, and Governor Secretariat, with revised payments taking effect from July 1, 2026. The decision was approved during a special meeting of the provincial cabinet, after which the KP Finance Department issued a formal notification directing all concerned departments to implement the revised allowance without delay.
Under the new notification, employees from BPS-03 to BPS-22 will receive significantly higher monthly allowances. Employees in BPS-03 to BPS-06 will now receive Rs6,000 per month, while those in BPS-07 to BPS-10 will get Rs9,000. Officials in BPS-11 to BPS-13 have been allocated Rs13,000, whereas employees in BPS-14 and BPS-15 will receive Rs16,000 every month.

The revised package also offers a notable financial boost for senior officers. Employees in BPS-16 will receive Rs18,000 monthly, while officers in BPS-17 and BPS-18 will be entitled to Rs21,000. The allowance has been fixed at Rs28,000 for BPS-19, Rs35,000 for BPS-20, Rs42,000 for BPS-21, and Rs52,000 for BPS-22, the highest amount under the new policy.
The enhanced House Requisition Allowance will be applicable to all eligible employees serving in the KP Civil Secretariat, Chief Minister Secretariat, and Governor Secretariat from July 1, 2026.
The latest move comes as governments continue to revise employee benefits amid rising living costs. In another major development, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has also approved a 100 percent increase in the utility allowance for its employees, with the revised rates set to take effect from the same date.
Following the increase, Supreme Court employees in Grades 1 to 6 will receive Rs12,000 per month instead of Rs6,000. Employees in Grades 7 to 10 will now get Rs16,000, compared to the previous Rs8,000, while those in Grades 11 to 15 will receive Rs20,000 per month, up from Rs10,000.
