Islamabad
The weather turned pleasant in Rawalpindi and Islamabad after rain hit the twin cities overnight while authorities concerned have declared a ‘rain emergency’ in the cities.
Heavy rain also raised the water level in Nullah Leh to 6.5ft at Katariyan and 15ft in Gawalmandi, prompting the district administration to take precautionary measures to tackle possible flooding.
Rise in water level in Nullah Leh has inundated roads and streets and commuters faced immense difficulties while trying to carry on with their routines.—INP
