Punjab public nursing colleges’ admission opens on Dec16

LAHORE – The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Friday announced that admissions to public sector nursing colleges across Punjab will begin on December 16 for the BS Nursing (Generic) four-year degree programme.

The formal notification issued for the 2025–26 academic session said that the UHS will conduct centralised admissions for the first time. Online applications will be accepted through the UHS portal until January 6, 2026.

Punjab has 45 government nursing colleges, offering 3,100 morning and 1,400 evening seats. Admissions will be based on FSc (Pre-Medical) marks, and candidates must have secured at least 50% to be eligible. Only students holding Punjab domicile may apply, and applicants are required to list all colleges in order of preference on the online portal.

Of the 45 colleges, 44 are designated for female students, while the Nursing College at Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara is reserved exclusively for male applicants.

UHS will publish the final merit list on January 16, while the first college-wise selection list will be issued on January 19.

Classes for the BS Nursing programme will commence on March 2, 2026, the spokesperson said.
