LAHORE – The balloting for the Punjab Chief Minister’s Green Tractor Programme for 50 to 65 horsepower tractors, scheduled for September 16, has been postponed.
According to a statement issued by the Punjab Agriculture Department, the balloting was deferred due to unavoidable reasons.
The department said a new date for the balloting will be announced soon. No specific date has been provided so far.
Applicants participating in the balloting have been advised to stay connected with the Punjab Agriculture Department’s official social media platforms for updates regarding the rescheduled date.
The Green Tractor Programme is aimed at providing eligible applicants with an opportunity to obtain tractors in the 50 to 65 horsepower category under the provincial initiative.
The Agriculture Department urged applicants to follow its official communication channels to remain informed about the next balloting date and related updates.
The department had accepted applications for Phase 4 of the Green Tractor Programme until September 5, 2026.
The provincial government aims at providing 10,000 subsidized tractors (50-65 hp) for farmers having land holding of 5 Acres and above with subsidy of Rs.0.750 million per tractor.
