Police seize hundreds of kgs drugs worth millions

Sariab police claimed to have arrested twenty three drug smugglers and recovered hundreds of kilograms of hashish, heroin, opium and sheesha worth millions of rupees from their procession. Superintendent Police (SP) Operation Sariab Division Zia-ul-Haq Mandokhail while addressing a press conference said that, in the last three months police during its crackdown against the drugs have recovered 648 kilograms of hashish, 44 kilograms of opium, 210 grams of heroin and 550 grams of sheesha and arrested 23 drug smugglers. The value of the seized drugs in the international market is millions of rupees.
SP Zia Mandokhail on the occasion resolved to root out the menace of drugs from the society in order to save the youth falling prey to the curse of narcotics. He directed the concerned police officials to take stern action against the drug sellers in their respective jurisdictions. He also stressed the need for collective efforts aimed at creating awareness about the use of drugs among the youth, so the menace could be completely eradicated from the society.
