With a view to give tremendous boost to promote export of Pakistani exports, the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA) on Sunday has suggested introducing of single country exhibition at international level that would contribute in strengthening carpet exporters in the country.
The key leaders representing Carpet Industry including Abdul Latif Malik, Chairperson Carpet Training Institute Per-vaiz Hanif, Vice Chairman Ejaz Ur Rehman, Senior Executive Mem-ber Riaz Ahmed called upon the govt for framing export policies in accordance with the local and international requirements.
In a joint statement Sunday, the PCMEA leaders underlined the need of framing commercial policies besides apprising govt and the concerned departments of real problems being faced by the carpet exporters in the country.
They further said traders having good standings in the markets should not be harassed over late payments issue. They said that the government should hold international exhibitions to improve carpet export globally. That would prove instrumental in promoting Paki-stani exports where Pakistani exporters are facing number of challenges. Govt should also address the problems faced by the Pakistani traders, especially those attached with the carpet Industry,” they concluded. —NNI
