LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has ordered a suspension of all preparations related to the national team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
The sources said that the team management will be informed of the future course of action at a later stage.
The PCB has also asked the management to submit a parallel plan in case Pakistan does not participate in the tournament.
The development comes as Pakistan has already assured full support to Bangladesh over its decision not to travel to India for the T20 World Cup.
Pakistan has described Bangladesh’s security concerns as reasonable and justified.
Sources said that Pakistan has indicated it may reconsider its own participation in the World Cup if the issue involving Bangladesh remains unresolved.
