Transfers MO over brawl with fellow doctor, suspends staff

Caretaker Minister Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir has said that patients in the hospitals have fundamental right to access to quality healthcare and he would make all-out efforts to provide them best treatment. Dr Jamal Nasir said this while conducting surprise visits to THQ hospital, Sambrial, Sialkot, Jalalpur Jattan, Kharian and Lala Musa hospitals to review the available medical facilities.

The minister PSHD also went rounds of emergency, medical wards and Pharmacies to inspect medicine record available on MIMS and found irregularities in record upon which MSs were reprimanded for their negligence. The minister health maintained that ongoing development projects would speedily be executed and problems facing the medical fraternity would be redressed at top priority.

Meanwhile Caretaker Minister Primary and Secondary Health Care Dr. Jamal Nasir took immediate notice of the fight between doctors in THQ Hospital Kharian and ordered an inquiry.

Officer Dr. Imran Aslam was found guilty, upon which Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir issued orders to immediately transfer Medical Officer Dr. Imran Aslam.

The entire staff was suspended.
