MASHHAD – An Iranian Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 made an emergency landing in Mashhad shortly after take-off after developing a technical problem, with no injuries reported among passengers or crew.
The reports suggested that the aircraft was operating a flight from Mashhad to Kermanshah when one of its landing-gear tyres reportedly became detached shortly after take-off. The incident was followed by an engine-related problem and severe vibrations, prompting the pilot to declare an emergency and turn the aircraft back towards Mashhad Airport.
Videos circulating on social media showed frightened passengers screaming as the aircraft experienced intense shaking during the incident. Some panels from the cabin ceiling reportedly broke loose and fell, while luggage was also reported to have fallen from overhead compartments.
The aircraft landed safely at Mashhad Airport, where passengers were subsequently transferred to an alternative flight to Kermanshah.

The runway was temporarily closed following the incident to allow safety checks to be carried out. Iranian civil aviation authorities are investigating the cause of the technical failure.
The incident is reportedly the second involving a Sepehran Airlines aircraft in recent weeks. No fatalities or injuries have been reported in either incident.
