FAISALABAD – Sigh of relief for electricity consumers as Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has announced a groundbreaking new policy that allows consumers to avoid late payment penalties.
The initiative grants ten-day extension for bill payments, ensuring that those who struggle to pay on time won’t be hit with extra fines.
Under this new policy, domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers who fail to pay their bills by due date can now approach the relevant FESCO office before the due date to request an extension. If granted, they will receive an additional ten days to make the payment without incurring any late fees.
Previously, consumers faced hefty penalties for missing the due date. But now, FESCO’s consumer-friendly approach ensures that financial difficulties will not automatically translate into extra charges.
“This facility has been introduced in response to consumer demands,” a FESCO spokesperson stated. “Consumers who request an extension before the due date will benefit from ten extra days to settle their bills, completely free of late payment penalties.”
The move has been welcomed as a significant relief for households and businesses alike, giving struggling consumers a much-needed breather while keeping their electricity connections safe from late fee penalties.
