Pakistan, Turkey to enhance cooperation in health sector: Sangu

Consul General of Turkey, CemalSangu, emphasized the importance of collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey in the health sector during the closing ceremony of the Health & Wellness Expo held in Karachi.

The two-day event was organized by the Private Hospitals &Clinics Association (PHCA) and Orbit Advertising Company, aiming to showcase potential reforms in Pakistan’s health sector and raise awareness about healthcare advancements. SemalSangu expressed his desire for both nations to play an active role in joint health initiatives, further strengthening their brotherly relations. He praised the organizers for the successful event and congratulated the PHCA and Orbit team for their efforts. PHCA President Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah highlighted the expo’s objective to drive healthcare reforms and expressed gratitude to the Turkish Consul General for his guidance.

He also thanked prominent figures such as Sindh Healthcare Commission Chairman Dr. Khalid Ahmed Sheikh, CEO Dr. AhsanQavi, Dr. Shahid Noor, and other medical professionals for their contributions. PHCA Secretary Dr. Farhan Isa discussed plans to ensure the import of affordable medical equipment from Turkey and other countries to reduce patient costs.

He appreciated the Turkish Consul General’s assurance of cooperation in this regard. Orbit Event Management COO, S.M. Sajjad, and Event Secretary, NusratFaheem, thanked the attendees and contributors for their support, with shields being distributed to recognize outstanding participants. The expo marked a step forward in fostering closer ties between Pakistan and Turkey in the healthcare field, aiming for mutual growth and innovation in medical services.
