Pak Afghan border reopens 200 stranded Pakistanis return from Afghanistan

SHINWARI LANDI KOTAL Some 200 Pakistan transporters trapped in Afghanistan due to covid19 lockdown and border closure entered Pakistan via Torkham on Friday. Official sources said According to additional commissioner of Landikotal ‘Shamsul Islam’ today on (Friday) they would receive some 200 transporters at Torkham border and would be shifted to quarantine center. He said the administration had prepared all necessary arrangements at Torkham to receive these transporters and the drivers who had received yet have been shifted to quarantine center in well-organized police escort. The administration have allotted bed number at quarantine center to these transporters to facilitate them. The official said. An official of the Khyber police force told media that they have received some 153 transporters, drivers who have been shifted to quarantine center at Government Shaheed Muhammad Amar centennial model high school Landikotal. According to officials some 500 Pakistan stranded on Afghanistan side will return Pakistan via Torkham border on Saturday(today).
