Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing &Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Nasir Hussain Shah has said that if we wanted to win this fight against the Coronavirus pandemic then whether we liked it or not we would have to be united, or else we should be ready for the worst.
No provincial government alone was able to completely prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, he said. “We have to adopt a joint strategy to control the situation”, he said.
Meanwhile, Shah on Monday directed the Secretary Local Government to issue orders for all the concerned departments to make the fumigation campaign more effective and faster across the province. Germicidal sprays were very important to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of people’s lives, the minister directed.
He said that the government was taking necessary steps to protect the lives of the people of the province, and from time to time necessary instructions were also being issued in this regard. The Minister said that It was also the responsibility of the people to seriously follow these instructions and cooperate with the government. Nasir Shah said that many questions were being raised on the steps taken at the federal level to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, but the Sindh government without involving itself into any sort of politics was working day and night to protect the lives of its people.
The Sindh government was fully cooperating with the federal government in this regard, the provincial minister added. He said that the way the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah adopted a comprehensive policy at the right time, it saved a large number of people of the province from being infected with the Coronavirus. He said that the World Health Institutions and the world as a whole were very much appreciative of the Sindh government for taking right decisions at the right time. Provincial Minister for Information said that with the support and cooperation of the people, soon we would be successful in complete elimination of the Coronavirus.
