Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan has categorically stated that fascism is touching a new high in the country to deter and petrify PTI’s candidates but all such brutal tactics would not serve any purpose as PTI would trounce its political opponents conveniently in the next general elections.
Strongly reacting to the torturing of PTI ex-MNA Bilal Virk and abducting his brother by Punjab police, PTI Secretary General said that PTI candidates were being brutally tortured, their homes invaded, ransacked and being blatantly threatened that they should not contest. He said that Bilal Virk ex MNA PTI member was brutally tortured by Punjab Police when he went to file his nomination papers while his brother has been abducted.
“Punjab Police is not registering any case and has openly told Bilal Virk that they are untouchable,” Omar added. “Is this a ‘Level Playing Field,’ he asked. PTI Secretary General pointed out that PTI candidates were being brutally tortured, their homes invaded, ransacked and being blatantly threatened that they should not contest.
However, he reiterated his party resolve that PTI will contest the elections in any circumstances and the party would be victorious with Allah’s will and the support of the people of Pakistan Inshah Allah. “We only submit to Allah Almighty’s Will,” he added.
