Former parliamentarian, columnist and novelist Bushra Rehman has passed away in Lahore on Monday.
According to details, the novelist was ill and suffering from coronavirus. Her funeral prayers were offered in Lahore’s Garden Townon the same day.
Born on August 29, 1944, Bushra Rehman served as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2013.
She was a writer by profession and recipient of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her achievements in the literature field. Her prominent novels included Lagan, Bahisht, Khubsurat, Sharmeely, Tere Sung Dar Ki Talaash Thi and others.
