Noor bags National Tenpin Bowling C’ship title

Noor Al Ain has won the Deaf Women’s title of the National Tenpin Bowling Championship organised by the Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation at Lei-sure City Bowling Club, Jinnah Park Rawalpindi.

Muaz Baig and Amna also bagged the Deaf Amateur Open and Ladies single titles respectively. The championship was inaugurated by Commis-sioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatta.

President, Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, Ijaz ur Rehman, General Secretary, Mohammad Hussain Chatta and Divisional Sports Officer Rawalpindi Haji Waheed Babar were also present.

On the opening day of the championship, women’s competitions were held on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Noor won the women’s deaf category competi-tion while Faiza Noor and Sadia won the second and third positions, respectively.

Muaz Baig won the Deaf Amateur Open compe-tition. Qasim bagged the second position, Abdul Rehman took home the third position while Shahzad Ahmed obtained the fourth position.

Amna secured the ladies’ single title while Maryam and Tania received second and third posi-tions, respectively.

The competitions including Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Team Event, Amateur, Deaf (Men’s and Women’s) and Media categories were being played in the event.

The semi-finals of the event would be held on March 11 while the final on March 12. Prize money of Rs one million has been kept for the champion-ship.—APP
