National Disability and Development Forum (NDF) organized a conference ‘Human Rights Issues and Solutions’ in Shaheed Benazirabad Division in collaboration with Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Campus Sanghar.
Addressing the conference, Abid Lashari said that the Department of Human Rights was taking commendable steps to protect and promote the fundamental rights of people.Social organizations like NDF were helping the government to bridge the gap between the common people and the Human Rights Department by promoting public information and developing linkages; however, the district administration should provide all possible assistance to the department and social organizations to deal with human rights violations. He further said that human rights were universal, and every human being should be entitled to equal rights, under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948.The purpose of the conference was to highlight human rights issues and possible solutions in Shaheed Benazirabad Division.
