KARACHI – Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir ignites spirit of duty among young cadets at Pakistan Naval Academy.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Shah delivered energizing address to cadets of 123rd Midshipman and 31st Short Service Commission courses at the Pakistan Naval Academy, lighting a fire of resolve and responsibility among the next generation of naval officers.
Charging the young warriors with purpose, the five-star general emphasized that in an increasingly complex and volatile world, role of Pakistan Navy was never been more critical, saying maritime defense stands shoulder to shoulder with land and air defense as a frontline of the nation’s sovereignty.
“The seas are not passive borders—they are active battlegrounds for our economic survival and national security,” the Army Chief declared, urging the cadets to embrace their mission with unwavering dedication.

He commended Pakistan Navy for its operational excellence and strategic foresight, particularly in protecting crucial sea routes tied to national assets like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Gwadar Port. These maritime corridors, he noted, are the lifeblood of Pakistan’s future, and their defense is non-negotiable.
In call rooted in faith and ideology, Field Marshal Munir reminded young blood cadets of foundational values that guide the armed forces: Iman (faith), Taqwa (piety), and Jihad fi Sabeelillah. He termed the military uniform not as a symbol of rank, but as a sacred trust placed in them by the people of Pakistan.
“You wear the hopes of a nation. Your duty begins now, not after graduation,” he added.
The address resonated deeply throughout the academy, leaving cadets inspired and aware of the monumental responsibilities they are set to inherit. It was not a ceremonial speech—it was a call to action.
