Nation stands tall

A wave of pride and jubilation has swept across the country on completion of one year of Marka-i-Haq.

The crushing and humiliating defeat rendered by our armed forces upon an enemy far bigger in size and resources through coordinated multi-domain operations has instilled a renewed spirit of confidence and trust among the people. Even after a year, memories of those defining moments continue to inspire the nation and reaffirm Pakistan’s strength, resilience and unwavering resolve in the face of aggression.

The anniversary of Marka-i-Haq is not merely a remembrance of military success, it is also a celebration of national unity, professional excellence and indomitable spirit of the Pakistani nation. The statements issued by country’s civil and military leadership on the occasion reflected sentiments of the entire country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is a peace-loving yet courageous and dignified nation that can neither be intimidated nor subdued by any aggressor. Indeed, Marka-i-Haq proved this reality beyond any doubt. The enemy had started confrontation believing that its massive defence expenditures and high-profile military acquisitions had guaranteed superiority. Years of aggressive rhetoric and expensive defence deals had created an illusion of invincibility. However, our armed forces shattered this arrogance through professionalism, strategic clarity and operational brilliance. Marka-i-Haq demonstrated to the world that wars in modern era are not won merely through numerical advantage or costly weapons platforms, but through preparedness, coordination, technological integration and national determination. The armed forces employed a highly coordinated response across land, sea, air, cyber and information domains. Modern drone technology, cyber capabilities, electronic warfare (EW), intelligence coordination and precision operations were utilised with remarkable effectiveness. The success of armed forces strengthened national confidence and proved that the country possesses formidable military capabilities capable of deterring any aggression.

Importantly, this victory also changed global perception about Pakistan. While the enemy sought escalation, Pakistan responded with precision, discipline and restraint. The international community witnessed a nation that acted responsibly while firmly defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity. As a result, Pakistan’s image on global stage underwent a noticeable transformation. The country emerged as a strategically capable state with advanced military competence and ability to maintain regional balance.

Another defining aspect of Marka-i-Haq was extraordinary unity displayed by people of Pakistan. During those difficult days, the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces. From the youth actively countering hostile propaganda on digital platforms to ordinary citizens expressing unwavering support for national institutions, every segment of society contributed to the national effort. This unity became our greatest strength. It sent a clear message to the enemy that bond between people and armed forces is unbreakable. The entire nation takes immense pride in its armed forces and continues to stand firmly beside them to thwart every nefarious design of the enemy. Marka-i-Haq has given Pakistanis renewed faith in their national strength and capabilities.

At the same time, this strategic success must now translate into economic progress and national development. Fortunately, Marka-i-Haq has significantly enhanced Pakistan’s strategic relevance on the global stage. Countries around the world now increasingly recognise Pakistan’s geopolitical importance, strategic maturity and institutional capability. This growing relevance is likely to bring economic dividends in the form of greater foreign investment, stronger trade partnerships and enhanced international cooperation. There is every reason to remain optimistic about Pakistan’s future. If same unity, discipline and determination demonstrated during Marka-i-Haq are applied to economic reforms, governance and technological advancement, we can achieve remarkable progress in years ahead.
