LAHORE – A motorcyclist lost his life in a traffic accident involving a dumper truck on Ferozepur Road near Nishtar Colony, Rescue 1122 said on Friday.
The rescue officials said that the incident occurred when a speeding dumper truck collided with a motorcycle and killed the rider on the spot.
The body was handed over to police for legal formalities.
The rescue officials said the victim could not be immediately identified.
Police launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash and trace the owner of the vehicle.
The latest accident has raised concerns over the growing number of fatal road incidents involving heavy vehicles, particularly dumpers, in urban areas.
After Karachi witnessed a surge in deadly dumper-related accidents in recent months, similar incidents are now being increasingly reported in Lahore and other cities.
The increasing incidents highlight the urgent need for stricter traffic enforcement and regulation of heavy transport movement within city limits.
