Mauripur Road to be completed in two months: Murtaza Wahab


Administrator Karachi, Sindh govt spokesman and CM Advisor on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Saturday said that PPP had always provided shelter to the people.”

The selected rulers have snatched shelter and jobs from the people, but we will give them jobs. We are putting PPP’s slogan of Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan (bread, cloth and house) into practice.

The votes were taken by PTI and MQM, but the work is being done by PPP in Karachi,” the administrator said this while addressing the inaugural function of KMC Market Korangi No.5.

DC Korangi, senior directors Imtiaz Abro, Imran Siddiqui, Saif Abbas, business community and a large number of PPP workers were present on the occasion.

The administrator said that jobs were snatched during the tenure of former mayor Wasim Akhtar, but they were providing job opportunities by making markets.

He said that shops would also be set up in Lyari, Bolton Market and other areas of the city. He said that 35 shops would be constructed in KMC Korangi Market which would be distributed to the affected shopkeepers.

Wahab said that shops would be constructed for the victims in other parts of the city as well. He said that KMC was planning to provide shops to the affectees of encroachment removal operations soon.

“Through these shops, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will also get revenue in terms of rent,” he added.

He said that with the construction of these shops, the occupation mafia will not get a place to occupy. He said that they are working under the vision of Bilawal Bhutto, not Murtaza Wahab.

The administrator said that he cannot fix three big hospitals in 40 days after their 40 years of deterioration.

He said that KMC is also working on hospitals and soon these hospitals will also be improved. “Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is very close to our heart because Bhutto Sahib inaugurated it,” he added.

He said that they believed in work and service, adding that construction work of Mauripur Road was underway.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto had promised to continue construction of this road. The work of Mauripur Road will be completed in two months. “PPP does not just promise, it does practical work,” he added
