Rs33b allocated for Honhaar Scholarships
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a detailed meeting with Members of Provincial Assembly from Khushab, Asif Malik and Zafar Abbas Khan, in here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the MPAs apprised the Chief Minister about the issues being faced by the people of Khushab. Maryam Nawaz assured them that all their outstanding issues will be resolved.
The Chief Minister discussed the current political situation, development projects, and issues of their constituencies with the MPAs.
The MPAs congratulated the Punjab Chief Minister for winning the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and expressed their gratitude for launching the Electric Bus Service in Khushab. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude for gifting 10 Electric Buses to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that thousands of people are benefiting daily from the electric bus service running from Nural Bus Stand, Khushab, to Grot Chowk, Mitha Tiwana, and Mangwal.
Both MPAs said that Chief Miniter Maryam Nawaz is becoming a famous leader in Punjab and Azad Kashmir.
Maryam Nawaz said that our leader Mohammad Nawaz Sharif will take the country on the path of development and progress.
Today, a unanimous voice emerges from all the provinces: Punjab is the best in every sector, including law and order.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has sent a summary to the Chief Minister House for approval of Phase-II of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Honhaar Scholarship Programme. Under the programme, Rs33 billion will be allocated during the current financial year to provide scholarships to bright students from Punjab.
The initiative is designed to create opportunities for talented youth to study at some of the world’s top-ranked universities.
Through the second phase of the Honhaar Scholarship Program, selected students will be able to pursue higher education at international universities. The Punjab government will cover all major educational expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, travel costs, and other related expenses. In addition to covering these costs, scholarship recipients will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs65,000 to Rs70,000 to support their educational journey.
