Man killed, another injured as dumper overturns at Lahore’s Ferozepur Road accident

Man Killed Another Injured As Dumber Overturns At Lahores Ferozepur Road Accident

LAHORE – A man was killed and another injured when a dumper truck overturned near Awan Market on Ferozepur Road accident on Monday, the Rescue 1122 officials  said.

The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Tabassum, son of Mazhar, while the injured man, identified as 38-year-old Yousaf, son of Karim, suffered a fractured arm. Rescue teams reached the scene and provided emergency assistance to the victims.

The accident comes amid growing concerns over road safety in Lahore, where a series of fatal traffic accidents have claimed several lives in recent days.

Last week, three young men were killed in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in a crash caused by overspeeding which highlighted the deadly consequences of reckless driving. The car rammed into a tree. Three young men died on the spot while fourth one was taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.

A few days earlier, three members of a family — a man, his wife and their son — died after a 22-wheeler truck rammed into their sports utility vehicle (SUV) at a traffic signal in the Garhi Shahu area of the city.

The recent accidents have once again raised questions about road safety, reckless driving and the risks posed by heavy vehicles on Lahore’s busy roads.

The local authorities have repeatedly stressed the importance of following traffic rules, maintaining safe speeds and exercising caution to prevent fatal accidents.
