Lahore Punjab Weather More Rain Heavy Falls Expected

More intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.

Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places during the forecast period.

Synoptic Situation

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the central and southern parts of Pakistan. Meanwhile, a shallow westerly wave trough is expected to enter the central regions. A seasonal low-pressure area persists over north Balochistan.

PMD Forecast

Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are expected in Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Chakwal,  Attock, Rawalpindi, Mianwali, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Pakpattan, Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Taunsa, Layyah, Muzaffarghar, Rajanpur, Bahawalnagar, Multan, and  Faisalabad on Thursday night.

On Friday, hot and dry weather is likely in most parts of the province. However, isolated rains and gusty winds are expected in Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Rawalpindi, Mianwali, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Kasur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Taunsa, Layyah, Muzaffarghar, Rajanpur, Multan and  Faisalabad.

Expected Temperatures

Daytime temperatures in Lahore are expected to remain between 37°C and 39°C on Friday, decreasing slightly to 36°C to 38°C on Saturday.

Past Weather

During the last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorms with gusty winds occurred in Lahore and at isolated places in Punjab. Hot and dry weather prevailed over other parts of the province.
