KP Pavilion attracts crowds as Pakistan Travel Mart concludes

A large number of tourists and investors visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pavilion and evinced keen interest in the tourism potential and investment opportunities showcased at the annual three-day Pakistan Travel Mart.

The Pakistan Travel Mart held at the Expo Centre in Karachi concluded with colourful events where the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) had set up a pavilion to promote and showcase the province’s tourism and cultural heritage.

The pavilion featured various tourism projects, including the camping pods project, Swat Expressway, Naran chairlift project, information desks, and rest areas.

The pavilion also showcased traditional crafts and performances, including Charsaddachappals, Mughal art from Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s traditional rubab music and the Khattak dance. It attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors during the three-day gala. A number of conferences, workshops and sessions were also held to present the province's tourism initiatives in an impressive manner.

On this occasion, KPCTA Director Umar Arshad Khan, Director Archaeology Dr Abdul Samad, General Manager of Tourism Sajjad Hamid and other officials were present.

Representing the province at the Pakistan Travel Mart, officials participated in various conferences where they provided a detailed briefing on investment opportunities in KP’s Integrated Tourism Zones Project (ITZs). They also informed investors about the camping pods project, homestay tourism programme, Naran chairlift project and other tourism initiatives.
