The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has refused to provide helicopter to the governor for his visit to Dera Ismail Khan. As per details, KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali asked for a helicopter to fly to DI Khan to accord a welcome to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who is visiting the city today.
The KP government has turned down the governor’s request on the plea that one of the helicopters is out of order and the other one remains on the standby in case Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has to make an emergency visit. Sources informed that after the refusal of chopper request by the KP government, the governor is going to DI Khan by road.
The governor got another snub on Friday when KP Secretary Higher Education Department rejected his summary seeking end to the forced leave of VC Gomal University after raising objection and sent it back to him. Governor Ghulam Ali Khan approved the summary seeking.—APP
