NEW DELHI – Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from the post amid intensifying protest by country’s youth led by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), according to Indian media.
He made the announcement on social media platform X as the Gen Z protest has been continued for several days.

Pressure continued to mount in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Indian government as the country’s protesting youth had refused to back down on their demand for resignation of the education minister over paper leak and other issues.
Earlier this week, Modi shared his first response after days of protest being led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in New Delhi where clashes also erupted with police personnel.
In a post on X, Mode wrote: “Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!
“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students. “
He also promised that those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.
The Cockroach Janta Party responded to Modi’s announcement by quoting his X post and saying: “Dharmendra Pradhan Must Resign”, referring to the education minister.

Leader of the main opposition Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, also responded to Modi’s post. He said: “You allowed and encouraged the total capture and destruction of our education system – and protected every person responsible for it”.
He backed the CJP’s demand for resignation of the education minister.
