Aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practices of humanitarian principles in line with Islamic thoughts, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, are jointly organizing a two-day national roundtable conference titled ‘Islam and Humanitarian Principles’ in Islamabad from 27th August 2019.
The event is bringing religious scholars, law experts, and representatives of humanitarian organizations from across Pakistan on a single platform to discuss different aspects of humanitarian principles in light of Islamic civilizations and Muslim thought.
The roundtable is being addressed by Senator Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Dr Qibla Ayaz, chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology, Dr Syed Mohsin Ali Naqvi, Islamic scholar, Dr Anis Ahmed, vice chancellor, Riphah International University (RIU), Khalid Rahman, executive president, Institute of Policy Studies (IPS).
