Punjab Announces Holiday On August 4 In Lahore

KASUR – The district administration has announced a local holiday in Kasur on August 29 (Saturday) on account of Urs of renowned Sufi poet Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah.

It said district offices working under the deputy commissioner, along with relevant district government institutions, will remain covered by the holiday.

The three-day event is continuing in Kasur for its second day on Friday, with devotees attending the ceremonies with religious devotion and respect.

Visitors from different parts of the country are arriving in Kasur to participate in the Urs celebrations. Spiritual gatherings are being held at the shrine, where devotees are offering prayers, reciting Fateha and seeking blessings.

In view of the large number of visitors, strict security arrangements have been made around the shrine and adjoining areas. The administration has also taken special measures to deal with any untoward incident during the celebrations.

A large-scale Langar arrangement has also been established for visitors, with food being provided to devotees attending the Urs.

According to the administration, the three-day celebrations marking the 269th Urs of Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah will conclude tomorrow.
