Has Pakistan imposed ban on all port entries amid Middle East tensions?

Karachi Port Jumps Massive 344 Places To 61st In Global Rankings

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has dismissed recent reports claiming that the Pakistani government has imposed a temporary ban on all port entries in the country due to ongoing Middle East tensions.

The clarification comes as a notification circulating on social media suggested that the Cabinet Division had ordered ports to suspend operations until March 10, 2026, citing security concerns.

The ministry clarified that the notification is entirely fabricated and no such order has been issued by either the Cabinet Division or the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

Officials emphasized that all ports continue to operate normally and urged the public to rely on verified sources for accurate information.
