The eagerly anticipated Hafiz Salman Butt Memorial Inter Club Youth Junior and Senior Men’s and Women’s Weightlifting Championship are set to kick off on January 18, 2024.
This four-day championship, to be held at the Weightlifting Academy Choburji, was announced during a meeting presided over by Federation President Hafiz Imran Butt and has record high entry in men & women events. Around 260 plus athletes from 25 plus clubs have confirmed participation. Managers meeting for Scrutiny & Final Entries Held today informed Sohail Javed Butt, Media Coordinator.
The championship, aiming to be a historic event, will gather talented weightlifters from various clubs. Aqeel Javed Butt has been appointed as the Event Director to ensure the seamless execution of the competition. The organizing committee, led by Hafiz Imran Butt, includes key figures such as Amjad Amin Butt, Madam Nuzhat Jabeen, Javed Asghar, Jabran Butt, Irfan Butt, Sheikh Anwar, and Qaiser Iftekhar, along with Aqeel Javed Butt.
To manage different aspects of the championship, various committees have been formed. Jameel Akhtar, Arslan, Maryam Aqeel Butt, Hamad Asghar, Hasnain, and Jazeb will contribute to the Technical, Reception, Refreshment, Computer IT, and other proposed committees. Sohail Javed Butt and Islam Natiq will take charge of the media committee, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the event.
All participating weightlifters are encouraged to prepare for this historic competition, scheduled to unfold over four days, from January 18 to January 21, 2024.
