KARACHI – Ashir Mahesar, the son of Deputy Inspector General Karachi East, terrorised citizens as he started firing aerial shots in different localities in port city.
Several clips of the gun-wielding man went viral online, showing him firing shots in provincial capital, causing a law and order situation.
A clip of the rowdy boy shows him firing salvo from a moving vehicle as he fearlessly kept firing shots.
Karachi police said the clips are old, while investigations into the incident are underway. Ashir Mahesar also posted his pictures with sophisticated weapons and armed members on his social media handles.
Cops said a complaint has been lodged with the FIA cybercrime wing regarding the viral videos.
Amid the outrage and media coverage, Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon took notice and directed concerned officers to report.
