Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Bosnia & Herzegovina, DrHuseinKavazovic offered Friday prayer at the Faisal Masjid and prayed for the Unity of the Ummah, comfort and ease of the people of Palestine who are facing worst kind of abuse and mass murder by the Israeli forces.
DrHuseinKavazovic is currently on a visit to Pakistan. After the Friday prayer, he urged the Muslim countries as well as the world forums like the United Nations, European Union and the OIC to intervene and stop the Israeli forces from committing acts of aggression and genocide in the occupied territories of Palestine.
Upon his arrival at the Faisal Masjid, the Grand Mufti was received by In Charge Protocol & Public Relations of the International Islamic University (IIU) Mr. NasirFarid, scholars and intellectuals and faculty members of the IIU.
DrKavazovic will attend a ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday (today) to receive the Sitare-e-Quaid-e-Azam Award by President Asif Ali Zardari.
President IIU DrHathalHomoudAlotaibi congratulated him on receiving this honour from the government of Pakistan.
In his prayers, DrHuseinKavazovic drew the world’s attention towards Israel’s crimes against humanity and said the innocent population of Palestine including children, women and elderly people were being massacred by the Israeli forces without any regard for humanity.
