KARACHI – Gold prices opened third week of July with Rs3600 single day gain, pushing the yellow metal to near record high in Pakistan.
According to market sources, the price of gold in Pakistan increased sharply by Rs3,600 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs. 361,200 per tola. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold jumped by Rs. 3,087, now standing at Rs. 309,671.

This upward momentum follows a week of mixed movement in the local market. Last week, gold prices in Pakistan saw a steady climb, peaking at Rs. 359,700 on July 14, before slipping to Rs. 355,100 by July 17. Despite the midweek dip, the market closed slightly higher compared to the start of the period.
