KARACHI – The price of gold declined sharply in Pakistan on Saturday, with the price per tola falling by more than Rs3,000 amid a drop in international bullion rates.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association said that the price of gold decreased by Rs3,700 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs426,736 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs3,202, reaching Rs365,857.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the international market declined by $37, with the price settling at $4,043 per ounce.
The latest decline in domestic gold prices follows the downward movement in international bullion rates, which continue to influence prices in Pakistan.
The market observers closely monitor global gold prices, currency movements and international economic developments, as these factors have a direct impact on bullion rates in the local market.
