QUETTA – Sui Southern Gas Company has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in several areas of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, due to maintenance work.

The disruption will occur today (December 27) from 11 am to 5 pm, the officials said while urging the citizens to cooperate in this regard.

The assured that the gas supply will be restored promptly once the repair work is completed.

Affected Areas

The gas supply will be temporarily suspended in A1 City, BMC, and Quetta Avenue. Additionally, gas will be unavailable in Railway Housing, Faisal Town, Hazara Town, and Barori Road during the same time frame.

Meanwhile, the production of crude oil and gas in the country has increased on a weekly basis, according to data from the Pakistan Petroleum Information Services (PPIS) and industry reports.

During the week ending on December 8, the average daily production of crude oil reached 66,014 barrels, marking a 0.05% increase compared to the previous week, when it stood at 65,975 barrels.

Additionally, gas production also saw an increase, with an average daily output of 2,917 MMcf/d, which is 6% higher than the previous week.

The data shows that during the week, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) produced an average of 27,288 barrels of crude oil per day, while Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) recorded 10,239 barrels, and Mari Gas had a daily crude oil production of 1,000 barrels.
