ISLAMABAD – Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has announced the death of his elder brother Shahid Akhtar.
Sharing the news on his social media account, Shoaib Akhtar expressed his grief and said that his beloved elder brother had returned to Allah Almighty.
The funeral prayer for Shahid Akhtar is scheduled to be held in Islamabad today, with family members, relatives, friends and people from different walks of life expected to attend.

According to family sources, Shahid Akhtar was also associated with Shoaib Akhtar as his public relations manager and worked closely with him on various professional and public matters.
Following the news of his passing, members of the cricket community and social circles have expressed their sorrow and offered condolences to the Akhtar family.
