Fisheries dept to demolish illegal constructions

Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Fisheries, Livestock, and Human Settlement, Syed NajmiAlam, has directed the immediate demolition of illegal constructions within the Fisheries Department. During an emergency visit to the Karachi Fish Harbor, NajmiAlam emphasized that restoring the export of fisheries and addressing fishermen’s issues are top priorities. NajmiAlam instructed the Director of Operations to take swift action against illegal constructions, stressing that no negligence will be tolerated.

The advisor highlighted the importance of taking positive measures to lift the ban imposed by the European Union on fisheries exports. Various welfare measures for fishermen were discussed, including the provision of training and equipment for emergency situations. Plans for educational and training schemes for fishermen’s children were also reviewed. NajmiAlam inspected cleaning measures at the Karachi Fish Harbor and discussed solutions to the problems faced by the fishermen’s cooperative society.
