Attock Police during checking on GT road foiled a bid to smuggle arms from KP to Punjab and arrested a female member of interprovincial gang of arms smuggler. Police sources said that during checking at Attock Khurd check post, police recovered one Kalashnikov and one rifle 12 bore from the luggage of the woman- a native of Nowshera travelling in a bus posing as passenger. During preliminary interrogation, she confessed to be member of inter provincial gang of arms smugglers and was smuggling arms from KP to Punjab. A case was registered against the accused at Attock Khurd Police station.
Meanwhile Hassanabdal Police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) wanted in a theft case. Police sources said Tasleem Khan- a native of Haripur was nominated in a theft case registered against him.
