FC, AJK Postal Circle hit by Covid-19

The FC, AJK & GB Postal Circle Islamabad has been hit by COVID-19 as several of its employees tested Covid positive in the wake of 3rd wave of COVID-19 that is considered deadlier and spreads at a faster speed than the first two waves.

According to details out of the total number of the staff (around 70) eight officials have been tested positive which shows 10 percent positivity rate in the FC, AJK & GB Postal Circle Islamabad.

While talking to Pakistan Observer a number of the staff members revealed eight of their colleagues have already tested positive while the Postmaster General Shakeel Qureshi has also been diagnosed with chest infection.

This has raised huge concern among the employees and they have requested Prime Minister Imran Khan, Communication Minister Murad Saeed to take urgent steps and close down FC, AJK & GB Postal Circle Islamabad like other corona-hit offices, schools, colleges and universities.

Among those who have been put in isolation due to COVID-19 include Ehsanullah Marwat (Dy:PG), Assistant Director (AD) Muhammad Saeed, Amir Shehzad, Javed Akhtar, Fouzia Zaman, Allah Ditta Yaqoob, Muhammad Aslam Clerks and Arshad Bilal (Data Entry Operator).

It may be mentioned here that at FC, AJK & GB Postal Circle Islamabad one Grade-20 Officers, two Grade-19 Officers and a number of Grade 1 to 18officers and officials are working in FC, AJK & GB Postal Circle Islamabad.
