ISLAMABAD – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reshuffled 80 senior officers in a nationwide reshuffling, triggering a wave of changes across major tax centers in Pakistan.

The reshuffle, which was executed on November 11, includes high-ranking officers from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar, along with key positions in customs formations. The changes also extend to director generals and collector commissioners in various regions.

The affected officials hold senior positions ranging from BS-19 to BS-21. Each officer has been instructed to immediately implement the orders and report to FBR Headquarters.

Furthermore, all officers are required to submit reports confirming their assumption of charge to the FBR headquarters as part of the transition process.

This sweeping reshuffle is expected to impact the operations of major tax and customs institutions across the country. While the reasons behind this move have not been officially disclosed, it marks a significant step in the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiency within the revenue board.
