The spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammad Faisal said on Sunday that an IED exploded outside holding area of Pakistan Consulate General in Jalalabad.
Dr Faisal, in a tweet, said all Pakistani staff are safe and one policeman and two applicants are reportedly wounded. He further said that they were in contact with Afghan authorities to ensure strengthened security for Consulate General’s premises and personnel.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Foreign Office after the blast strengthened the security of all Pakistan Consulates in Afghanistan. It may be mentioned here that consulte office was already at threat list.
